Enjoy a Valentine's Day Gathering

Having a romantic lunch or a heart-warming dinner on Valentine's Day (Saturday 14 February)?

(Or wishing that you were doing either one?)

In the afternoon, why not join a fun discussion about love, relationships and the holiday that is dedicated to them both?

Come to the Bayswater Youth Hall, at the corner of Station Street and Pine Road.  It's on between 1pm and 3pm, right across the street from the Bayswater train station, at the corner of Station Street and Pine Road.
(Note:  Bayswater is inland, about 30km due east of Melbourne's CBD, between Ringwood and Ferntree Gully.)

Of course, you're most welcome to bring partners and friends along, too.

Some things we'll cover:

Different types of love
Different ways we express love and feel loved
How men and women sense love differently
The history of Valentine's day (from fertility festival to child-like sweetness)
Some scientific explanations for love
How it's not a plot by American greeting card & chocolate companies and florists
... and whatever else comes up among us

While Carl Turney will be facilitating this joyous event, it's very much a group discussion.  (Don't worry:  If you're shy, you're welcome to stay silent and just listen in.)
All we ask for is a couple of gold coins to help cover the hall hire costs.
Feel free to contact Carl ( on 0427 024 735 or via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) for more details.

p.s.
Much thanks to Erich Fromm, Gary Chapman, Deborah Tannen, John Gray, Wikipedia, New Scientist, et al for the info we'll use to springboard into discussions.
